Jay Holgate is host of Southern Football TV, an SEC sports writer and motivational speaker based in Atlanta, Georgia.

As a credentialed member of the SEC, he reports exclusively on SEC football. His column is published in over 200 on-line newspapers in the Southeast, and he can be heard weekly on sports radio stations across the South.

Jay is involved year round in a Southern States Tour talking SEC Football to companies, chambers of commerce, country clubs and churches.

The events are guaranteed to be entertaining but his main goal is to inspire people to take it to the next level. Jay is ideal for sportsman dinners, and sales training events.

An active member of the Football Writers Association of America, Jay writes on leadership, strategy, psychology, teamwork and motivation used in winning in the SEC.

Because Jay is a freelance writer not beholden to a newspaper, he can take a story where a beat writer may not go.

No matter the size of the organization, Jay’s encouraging and passionate message about hope, faith and the perseverance required is both motivating and inspiring.

Jay is also a certified life coach who works with athletes and executives, challenging clients to exceed their expectations.

His own personal story of following his dreams began simply wanting to be on the sidelines of an SEC football game. In time Jay was led to the media press box, and put right in the middle of the recruiting war of a top 5 football player in the country.

Watching his own dreams build through the years drives him to push others to live a life of fulfillment and happiness.

Jay is married to Kim Freeman of Atlanta, Georgia. They have two children who follow SEC football, Ashley Reagan 17, and Jack 6.
